Lots and lots of food has been consumed in the last few days which was very naughty of me. As I type this I am sitting here eating a scone.. I just have no will power this time of year, there is just food everywhere!

Today is the first day back at work after 4 days off, and I would give anything to be anywhere but here. I’ve been here for over 2 hours and have tried to think of every possible thing to delay or postpone any work I actually have to do.

What is the point of coming back to work for 2 and a half days, only to have another 4 days off?? I think we should be able to have this whole week off! Well.. to be honest I could have had the time off if I’d really wanted to but I’ll be having 2 weeks off work in January and felt a little guilty for taking even more time off on top of that.

For the first time in about 10 years we actually had a proper Christmas with the decorations, tree, mountains of food and many presents. Life wasn’t stable enough before for us to enjoy and celebrate holidays so this year was very significant.

This was J and my first Christmas and it was just lovely and special. I got to wake up in J’s arms (even if we were forced out of bed when we wanted to sleep in!). J gave me lovely presents. I got wonderful books by Marion Zimmer Bradley (The Mists of Avalon, The Lady of Avalon, The Priestess of Avalon and The Forest House) and also this gorgeous replica of Arwen’s Evenstar pendant from Lord of the Rings.

Ohh.. will continue this later, need to look like I’m doing some work!
